EDUCAÇÃO EM ASTRONOMIA PARA O ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL: O OBSERVATÓRIO ASTRONÔMICO DO IFMG-CAMPUS BAMBUÍ INTEGRADO AO PROCESSO ENSINO APRENDIZAGEM
O trabalho aqui descrito apresenta à comunidade científica e acadêmica
envolvida com a educação (pesquisadores, professores e licenciandos) o
Observatório Astronômico do Instituto Federal de Minas Gerais - Campus de
Bambuí como espaço não - formal de ensino e de divulgação científica. O
trabalho foi elaborado com a finalidade de auxiliar o professor no processo de
ensino - aprendizagem de conceitos presentes na Astronomia e na Física para
estudantes da educação básica. Apresentamos o desenvolvimento de uma
Sequência Didática organizada em três etapas: a Pré visitação, a Visitação e a
Pós visitação. Na etapa de Pré visitação, na qual os estudantes são preparados
para a visita, apresenta-se a evolução dos conceitos de Astronomia ao longo da
história. A visitação é constituída por cinco atividades interativas, realizadas em
pequenos grupos, desenvolvidas na perspectiva de favorecer um posicionamento
ativo dos estudantes, tanto nas interações com os monitores, quanto na
realização de tarefas. A Pós visitação, que retoma temas e fenômenos
observados na visita e aborda questões como a Origem e Formação do Universo.
Os resultados e análises da potencialidade da sequência didática e das
contribuições do Espaço não formal são apresentados a partir da investigação do
processo desenvolvido com uma turma do sexto ano do ensino fundamental.

Abstract:
The work described here presents to the scientific and academic
community involved with education (researchers, professors and graduates) the
Astronomical Observatory of the Federal Institute of Minas Gerais - Bambuí
Campus as non - formal space for teaching and scientific dissemination. The
work was elaborated with the purpose of assisting the teacher in the teaching -
learning process of concepts present in Astronomy and Physics for students of
basic education. We present the development of a Didactic Sequence organized
in three stages: Pre-visitation, Visitation and Post-visitation. In the Pre-
Visitation stage, in which students are prepared for the visit, the evolution of the
concepts of Astronomy throughout history is presented. The visitation is
constituted by five interactive activities, carried out in small groups, developed
with the perspective of favoring an active positioning of the students, both in the
interactions with the monitors, and in the accomplishment of tasks. The post-
visitation, which takes up themes and phenomena observed in the visit and
addresses issues such as the Origin and Formation of the Universe. The results
and analyzes of the potentiality of the didactic sequence and the contributions of
non-formal space are presented from the investigation of the process developed
with a group of the sixth year of elementary school. -
