EDUCAÇÃO E CIDADANIA: O COMPROMISSO DOS ESPAÇOS EDUCACIONAIS NA EFETIVAÇÃO DE UMA EDUCAÇÃO ANTIRRACISTA
O presente artigo tem como tema Educação e cidadania: o compromisso dos espaços educacionais na efetivação de uma educação antirracista. Considerando a necessidade de construir uma educação que contribua para a valorização e o respeito às diferenças, tenciona refletir sobre a importância dos diferentes espaços de conhecimento na efetivação de uma educação cidadã e inclusiva, assim como a contribuição da formação docente nesta construção. A partir da análise dos documentos que estabelecem o ensino da história e cultura afro-brasileira, de questionários aplicados a docentes e estudantes de diferentes graduações, bem como diversos referenciais teóricos, tendo como base Cavalleiro(2001), Young(2007), Carvalho(2012) entre outros, buscamos mostrar a necessidade de se pensar uma educação que contemple e valorize os feitos dos povos que contribuíram para a formação do povo brasileiro, especialmente aqueles que ainda hoje continuam marginalizados e excluídos dos processos que nos constituem como nação.

Abstract:
This article has as it’s theme education and citizenship: the commitment of education spaces in effectuation of anti-racist education. Considering the need to criate develop an education that contributes to the appreciation and respect for diversity, intends to reflect on the importance of different knowledge spaces in the realization of a citizen and inclusive education, as well as the contribution of teacher training in the construction. From the analysis of the documents that establish the teaching of Afro-brazilian history and culture, from scientific questionnaires the teachers and scholars of different degrees, as well as various theoretical references, based on Cavalleiro(2001), Young (2007), Carvalho (2012) among others, we seek to show the need to think about an education that contemplates and values the achievements of the people who contributed to the formation of the Brazilian people, especially those that still remain marginalized and excluded from the processes that choose us as a nation.
