Abstract: Training experiences in agroecology, based on the concepts of rural education, have been studied to understand this science in the construction of individuals and more sustainable production systems. The understanding of rural youth in training, as subjects of processes of change in rural areas, reiterates their role and their active participation in valuing and strengthening family farming. This work aims to analyze how the integrated training of peasant youth takes place at the Jaraguá State School, in Água Boa – MT from the perspective of rural education based on agroecology and how this teaching concept contributes to the valorization of peasant knowledge . The methodology involved the application of questionnaires and on-site visits. Secondary education integrated with technical agroecology provides rural youth with critical training away from distorted ideas of the reality that surrounds them. The integrated training of peasant youth at the Jaraguá State School has motivated young people to remain in rural areas, whose knowledge built throughout their training in Agroecology can be shared in the community. The school experience, teaching-learning practices and alternation pedagogy have represented great advances for young people in terms of valuing peasant knowledge, as well as their rural identity.
