Abstract: This essay analyzes the numerous obstacles that education in sub-Saharan Africa faces, in the race to achieve the prestigious quality of education for all. Considering the commitments of all states to ensure quality education targets, in a context of growing demand for education access in a continent with financial resources lacking, increased challenges of climate crises, poverty and wars, where infrastructure is strongly affected or degraded, it is questioned how will it be possible to achieve quality education by 2030? Therefore, bibliographical research and mini survey was used to identify obstacles that are challenges of education systems in sub-Saharan African countries. Data presented show that major social, cultural and economic challenges prevail obstacles to significant advances for the scope of quality education, and its overcoming does not only depend on the desire of local governments.
