EDUCAÇÃO DE JOVENS E ADULTOS NO MUNICÍPIO DE UBERABA/MG/BRASIL
A pesquisa foi realizada no CESEC
- Centro Estadual de Educação Continuada
(Escola Pública Estadual) na cidade de Uberaba/
MG/Brasil, escola do Governo do Estado de
Minas Gerais que participa do Programa de
Educação de Adultos e Jovens, que é exclusivo
para a educação com essa característica.
Os objetivos descrevem porque os jovens
e adultos que cursam o EJA no município de
Uberaba/MG não concluíram seus estudos em
idade estabelecida; quais as metas dos jovens
e adultos que cursam o EJA no município de
Uberaba/MG após a conclusão do ensino médio;
e apresenta o perfil socioeconômico dos jovens
e adultos que cursam o EJA no município. O
estudo é de abordagem qualitativa, exploratória,
bibliográfica documental, um estudo transversal.
Dos resultados obtidos destacam-se: o perfil
social do aluno e de sua família, o qual mostra
um público de classe média, sendo consenso
entre os alunos que os mesmos concluirão
o ensino médio, e vislumbram através da
conclusão dos estudos a oportunidade de
trabalho, de ingressar a universidade, ou seguir
curso técnico. Concluiu-se que os alunos
pesquisados representam uma parcela de
indivíduos que na adolescência a escola deixou
de ser interessante em sua vida, assim muitos
são os viesses que direcionam este público
para o ensino disponibilizado pela EJA, e como
fato temos este aluno na busca de se adequar
aos estudos, e ser inserido nas necessidades
do mercado de trabalho, e da sociedade.

Abstract:
The research was carried out at
CESEC - State Center for Continuing Education
(State Public School) in the city of Uberaba /
MG / Brazil, a school of the Government of the
State of Minas Gerais that participates in the
Adult and Youth Education Program, which is
exclusive to education with this characteristic.
The objectives describe why the youngsters and
adults attending the EJA in the city of Uberaba /
MG did not finish their studies at an established
age; what are the goals of the youth and adults
who attend the EJA in the city of Uberaba
/ MG after high school; and presents the
socioeconomic profile of the youth and adults
who attend the EJA in the municipality. The
study is a qualitative, exploratory, bibliographic,
documentary, cross - sectional study. Among
the results obtained are: the social profile of the student and his / her family, which
shows a middle-class audience, being a consensus among the students that they will
finish high school, and see through the conclusion of the studies the opportunity to
work , to enter the university, or to follow technical course. It was concluded that the
students surveyed represent a portion of individuals that in adolescence the school
was no longer interesting in their life, so many are the leads that direct this audience to
the teaching provided by the EJA, and as a matter we have this student in search of fit
the studies, and be inserted into the needs of the labor market, and society.
