EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL NO ENTORNO DOS GRANDES RIOS: O PROJETO ESCOLAS D’ÁGUA NO BRASIL
A Educação Ambiental busca potencializar ações no âmbito da sociedade, tendo, na instituição escolar, a força necessária para a difusão de informações e produção de conhecimento. Mediante a isso, esta pesquisa objetivou fazer a análise do Projeto Escolas d’água no Brasil, precisamente no estado do Pará, município de Santarém e suas atividades práticas de educação ambiental, na perspectiva dos alunos, professores e suas famílias por meio de ações pautadas no cuidado com o meio ambiente, em específico as águas dos grandes rios. A pesquisa foi realizada na cidade de Santarém, através de diversas técnicas visto envolver levantamento de referências e aplicação de questionários as pessoas que tiveram envolvimento com o tema. Após isso, houve a pesquisa de campo que se caracterizou pelas investigações, além da pesquisa bibliográfica. Foi realizada análise dos impactos do uso dos recursos hídricos nos empreendimentos econômicos locais e sua relação com as escolas. Através do projeto escolas d’água, pode-se observar mudanças na vida de várias crianças, jovens e adultos sobre o uso racional da água. Futuramente, o projeto busca abranger mais escolas, e outros estados, como o do Amazonas, contando agora com protagonistas de uma história que se tornou possível graças ao trabalho incansável de alunos e professores que acreditam que através de uma educação diferenciada podemos mudar o mundo em nossa volta.

Abstract:
Environmental Education seeks to empower actions within society, having, in the school institution, the necessary strength for the dissemination of information and production of knowledge. Through this, this research aimed to make the analysis of the Water Schools Project in Brazil, precisely in the state of Pará, municipality of Santarém and its practical activities of environmental education, from the perspective of students, teachers and their families through actions based on the care of the environment, specifically the waters of large rivers. The survey was carried out in the city of Santarém, through various techniques o it involved the survey of references and the application of questionnaires to people who were involved with the subject. After that, there was the field research that was characterized by investigations, besides the bibliographical research. An analysis of the impacts of the use of water resources on local economic enterprises and their relationship with schools was conducted. Through the water schools project, changes in the lives of several children, young people and adults on the rational use of water can be observed. In the future, the project seeks to cover more schools, and other states, such as the Amazon, with protagonists of a story that has become possible thanks to the tireless work of students and teachers who believe that through a differentiated education we can change the world around us.
