EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL NA GESTÃO MUNICIPAL: DA PROSA À PRÁTICA
A Oficina “Educação Ambiental nos
Municípios: da Prosa à Prática” teve como objetivo
fortalecer a educação ambiental na gestão
ambiental pública no processo de elaboração
dos Programas Municipais de Educação
Ambiental, por meio do compartilhamento de
experiências entre diferentes entes do poder
público sobre educação ambiental. Para isso, o
conjunto de oito municípios da região oeste da
Grande São Paulo (Barueri, Carapicuíba, Cotia,
Itapevi, Jandira, Osasco, Santana de Parnaíba
e Taboão da Serra) reunidos em um projeto
para fortalecimento da educação ambiental,
o Simpósio Regional de Educação Ambiental,
solicitou apoio à Coordenadoria de Educação
Ambiental (CEA) da Secretaria de Estado
de Infraestrutura e Meio Ambiente para seus
Programas Municipais de Educação Ambiental
e, de forma conjunta entre municípios e Estado,
essa oficina foi concebida e realizada. O
público alvo eram os técnicos municipais dos
municípios envolvidos. A Oficina ocorreu em 4
encontros itinerantes, entre agosto e outubro
de 2016, nos quais se utilizaram técnicas e
metodologias participativas, com uma média
de 40 participantes e 4h de duração. Como
resultado, houve fortalecimento da rede de
educadores ambientais de cada município e
da relação entre municípios e Estado; fomento
do processo de elaboração dos Programas
de Educação Ambiental e validação da
metodologia participativa para ser aplicada em
outros municípios. A Oficina ocorreu no período
final do ciclo de governo em 2016, no entanto,
segundo relatos nas avaliações, a expectativa
é de que os efeitos desse processo formativo
transcenderam os limites do ciclo de governo,
pois promoveu transformações pessoais aos participantes.

Abstract:
The Workshop “Environmental Education in Municipalities: Prose to
Practice” aimed to strengthen environmental education in public environmental
management in the process of elaboration of the Municipal Environmental Education
Programs, by sharing experiences between different public entities about environmental
education. For this accomplishment, the set of eight municipalities of Grande São
Paulo (Barueri, Carapicuíba, Cotia, Itapevi, Jandira, Osasco, Santana de Parnaíba and
Taboão da Serra) were working together in a project to strengthening environmental
education, known as Regional Environmental Education Symposium and requested
support from the Environmental Education Coordination (CEA) of the Secretariat of
State for Infrastructure and Environment for developing its Environmental Education
Policies, which was conceived and realized jointly among this institutions. The
target audience was the technician’s municipalities of the municipalities involved.
The workshop took place in 4 meetings, between August and October 2016, with
participatory methodologies, and an average of 40 participants and 4 hours duration.
As a result we had observed the straighten of the network of environmental educators
from each municipality and relationship between municipalities and state; the evolution
of the process of elaboration of the Environmental Education Programs and validation
of the methodology to be applied in other municipalities. The workshop took place in
the period end of the government cycle in 2016, however, according to reports in the
evaluations, the expectation is that the effects of this formative process transcend the
limits of the government cycle, as it had promoted personal transformations to the
participants.
