Educação a Distância, e, ainda, analisar o perfil geral e o perfil socioeconômico

de alunos de uma Universidade do Cone Leste Paulista. Para tanto, realizouse um levantamento bibliográfico do tema estudado e por meio do Censo

EAD.BR e da pesquisa feita com os alunos da Universidade em questão

levantaram-se o perfil geral e o perfil socioeconômico dos alunos na referida

Universidade. Destacam-se no presente estudo as variáveis que influenciam a

escolha pela Educação a Distância e a importância da qualificação para a

compatibilidade do profissional com o mercado de trabalho.

Abstract:
The objective of this study is to present the characteristics of Distance

Education, and also analyze the general profile and the socioeconomic profile

of students at a University of the “Cone Leste Paulista”. To this end, a literature

review of the subject studied was carried out and the overall profile and the

socioeconomic profile of the students at the referred University were raised

through EAD.BR census and a survey with the students of such University.

Highlights in this study are the variables that influence the choice in favor of

Distance Education and the importance of the qualification for professional

compatibility with the labor market.
