Abstract: This article analyzes the challenges and strategies involved in teaching Portuguese through Distance Education (DE). The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the transition to remote teaching, revealing technological, methodological, and pedagogical limitations, but also possibilities for innovation. Qualitative research, based on interviews with teachers and analysis of educational platforms, shows that the success of DE depends on the adaptation of content, the adequate use of digital tools, and teacher engagement. The study concludes that, with planning and adequate training, teaching Portuguese in DE can be effective and inclusive.
