DOR E ESTRESSE EM ESTUDANTES DE ODONTOLOGIA QUE ATENDEM EM PEDIATRIA
A dor e o estresse no profissional
e no estudante de odontologia são descritos
na literatura. A odontopediatria estuda
particularidades como o comportamento
e a estrutura física da criança e posturas
inadequadas do cirurgião dentista geradas
durante o atendimento, às quais estão
relacionadas à injúrias. É importante que os
cuidados com a postura e o manejo da dor e
do estresse sejam conhecidos e aplicados
ainda na graduação para que o estudante evite
a adoção de posturas deletérias ou mantenha
ciclos viciosos de dor e estresse. Esta pesquisa
foi realizada com o objetivo de avaliar a dor e
o estresse dos estudantes de odontologia da
UNOCHAPECÓ que realizam atendimentos
na Clínica Integrada de Atenção à Criança
(CIAC) e de buscar suas relações com a
fadiga ocasionada pelo atendimento. O estudo
foi observacional quantitativo transversal. A
amostra foi constituída de 60 estudantes de
odontologia da UNOCHAPECÓ matriculados
no componente curricular de CIAC 1 e 2. Para
a coleta de dados foram aplicados antes e após
ao atendimento a Escala Visual Analógica,
o Questionário Bipolar de Fadiga e a Escala
de Estresse Percebido. A análise de dados
utilizou o software SPSS 22. A associação
entre variáveis foi testada pelo teste do quiquadrado ou exato de Fisher. A correlação entre
as variáveis numéricas foi testada por meio do
teste de correlação Spermann. Foi possível
verificar que estudantes de Odontologia da
UNOCHAPECÓ apresentam estresse elevado
derivado da fadiga acumulada e gerada no
atendimento de crianças.

Abstract:
Pain and stress in the professional
and dental student are described in the literature.
Pediatric dentistry studies particularities such
as the behavior and physical structure of the
child and inadequate postures of the dental
surgeon generated during the care, which are
related to injuries. It is important that care with
the posture and management of pain and stress
are known and also applied to the graduation
for the student avoid the adoption of harmful postures or maintain vicious cycles of
pain and stress. This research was conducted in order to assess pain and stress in
dental students at UNOCHAPECÓ who perform care at the Integrated Clinic for Child
Care and seek their relationships with the fatigue caused by the care. The study was
cross-quantitative observational. The sample consisted of 60 dental students from
UNOCHAPECÓ enrolled in the curricular component of CIAC 1 and 2. Before and
after the care were applied Visual Analogue Scale, Bipolar Fatigue Questionnaire and
Perceived Stress Scale to collect data. The data analysis used SPSS software 22. The
association between variables was tested by chi-square test or Fisher’s exact test. The
correlation between the numerical variables was tested using the Spermann correlation
test. It was possible to verify that dental students at UNOCHAPECÓ present high level
of stress derived from the accumulated fatigue and generated in the care of children.
