Abstract: This work presents a pedagogical intervention carried out with a 7th grade elementary school student diagnosed with Moebius syndrome. As a teaching and learning strategy, concrete materials were used, such as domino game pieces and dice, with the aim of facilitating arithmetic learning, focusing on the operations of addition, subtraction and multiplication. The game, in its pedagogical aspect, can be a facilitator in learning mathematical structures, which are often difficult to assimilate, developing the student's ability to think, reflect, analyze, understand mathematical concepts with autonomy and cooperation. The practice was carried out in a private school in Frederico Westphalen-RS, in the Specialized Educational Service room (SES) room during the student's school shift, using one period (45 min). The intervention was structured into three activities with an increasing level of difficulty, the first being the addition operation with dominoes, the second, addition and subtraction with dominoes and, in the third activity, multiplication using dice. During the intervention, it was observed that the dominoes and the dice helped the learning of arithmetic significantly, due to the student's greater ease in adding the numbers of the domino pieces and understanding the multiplication operation. Therefore, it is concluded that both dominoes and dice can be used as an auxiliary tool by primary school teachers.
