DOENÇAS INFLAMATÓRIAS INTESTINAIS E A UTILIZAÇÃO DE SIMBIÓTICOS NO TRATAMENTO: UMA REVISÃO
TEMA: As Doenças Inflamatórias Intestinais (DII) referem-se a doenças autoimunes, as quais apresentam resposta imunológica inapropriada ou exacerbada e são caracterizadas por afecções sistêmicas inflamatórias crônicas, relacionadas principalmente ao trato gastrointestinal. O aumento das doenças crônicas não transmissíveis fez com que a sociedade tenha um maior interesse em ter uma qualidade de vida mais propícia. Nesse contexto, este projeto tem a finalidade apresentar aos acadêmicos da área da saúde as doenças inflamatórias intestinais e os benefícios através do tratamento via simbióticos. OBJETIVO: O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar uma revisão bibliográfica sobre as doenças inflamatória intestinais abordando também e o uso de simbióticos como terapia alternativa. METODOLOGIA: Para o desenvolvimento do trabalho realizou-se de uma revisão de literatura utilizando dados bibliográficos obtidos nas bases de periódicos Scielo, Google acadêmico, Medline e PubMed. Os artigos pesquisados compreendem as publicações de 2003 a 2018, com idiomas na língua portuguesa e inglesa. Foram selecionados artigos que possuíam concordância com o tema. REFERENCIL TEORICO: O trabalho em questão traz epidemiologia, etiologia, fiosiopatologia, sintomatologia da DII. CONCLUSÃO: Também discute a necessidade de uma nova estratégia terapêutica atreves de utilização de simbióticos, bem como o mecanismo de ação.

Abstract:
SUBJECT: The Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD) refer to autoimmune diseases, which present inappropriate or exacerbated immune response and they are characterized by chronic inflammatory systemic affections, related principally to the gastrointestinal tract. The increase in non-communicable chronic diseases has made society to have a bigger interest in having a more propitious quality of life.Within this context, this project aims to present to the health area academics the inflammatory intestinal diseases and the benefits of being treated with symbiotics. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this article is to present a bibliographic review of the inflammatory intestinal diseases and also to approach the symbiotic use as an alternative therapy. METHODOLOGY: To develop this article a literature review has been performed using bibliographic data obtained from the periodicals Scielo, Google Scholar, Medline and PubMed. The researched articles embrace the publications from 2003 to 2018, encompassing the Portuguese and English languages. Articles related to the subject have been selected. THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK: The article in question brings IBD epidemiology, pathophysiology and symptomatology. CONCLUSION: It also discusses the need of a new therapeutic strategy through the use of symbiotics, as well as the mechanism of action.
