Abstract: Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is strongly associated with a significant increase in Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) risk, which remains the leading cause of mortality in this population. This study analyzed the pathophysiological mechanisms linking these conditions, including chronic inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, and excessive activation of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system. Therapeutic strategies such as aldosterone receptor antagonists, SGLT2 inhibitors, and GLP-1 agonists have shown significant benefits in reducing CKD progression and the incidence of cardiovascular events. Additionally, nutritional approaches such as the Mediterranean diet and sodium restriction have proven effective in reducing systemic inflammation and controlling hypertension. The study highlights the necessity of early and personalized interventions to minimize the impact of CVD in CKD patients, improving quality of life and clinical outcomes.
