DO RIO SÃO FRANCISCO AO SERTÃO NA CARAVANA ALAGOANA DE CIÊNCIA E TECNOLOGIA
A Caravana de Ciência e Tecnologia em Alagoas é uma ação de divulgação científica que integra o evento nacional, anual, financiado pelo Ministério da Ciência, Tecnologia e Inovação (MCTI). Nas edições de 2015 a 2019 o projeto se desenvolveu na região ribeirinha do Rio São Francisco, sertão, zona da Mata e na Capital Maceió. A Oficina Suporte Básico à Vida (SBV) esteve entre às atividades desenvolvidas, objetivo de empoderamento dos professores, escolares, leigos e equipe interdisciplinar que atuavam nas escolas, sobre como agir em situações de emergência, inclusive, frente a uma Parada Cardio-Respiratória. Para os acadêmicos, as oficinas foram uma oportunidade transformar para a prática o conhecimento teórico, interagir com a comunidade, aproximar-se da realidade local, entender os anseios e dúvidas da população sobre o tema e, acima de tudo, contribuir para a promoção e prevenção de agravos considerando as necessidades de saúde da população, de forma que a ciência esteja de fato a serviço das comunidades. O SBV é um curso teórico-prático criado pela American Heart Association (AHA), que promove aprendizagem sobre medidas de primeiros socorros, em situações de emergências, em especial, com reanimação cardiopulmonar (RCP).
Para a comunidade escolar foi uma possibilidade de conhecer, atualizar os conhecimentos sobre suporte básico de vida e de interagir diante das situações simuladas, despertaram-na para o reconhecimento da sua importância. Isso foi evidenciado por seu interesse e motivação de participação durante as oficinas, chamando atenção para a necessidade da realização de atividades com mais frequência e abrangendo um número maior de pessoas, de forma a empoderá-las frente a tais situações.

Abstract:
The Caravan of Science and Technology in Alagoas is a scientific dissemination action that is part of the national, annual event, financed by the Ministry of Science Technology and Innovation (MCTI). In the 2015 to 2019 editions the project was developed in the riverside region of the São Francisco River, in the hinterland, in the Mata zone and in the capital Maceió.
The Basic Life Support Workshop (BLS) had, among the activities developed, the objective to empower teachers, the school community, lay people and the interdisciplinary team that worked in schools, on how to act in emergency situations including how to face a Cardiorespiratory Arrest .
The BLS is a theoretical-practical course created by the American Heart Association (AHA), which promotes learning about first aid measures, in emergency situations, especially with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).For the school community, it was a possibility to update its knowledge about basic life support and to interact in simulated situations becoming more aware of its importance. This was evidenced by their interest and motivation to participate in the workshops, calling attention to the need of performing such activities more frequently covering a larger number of people in order to empower them in such situations.For academics, the workshops were an opportunity to transform theoretical knowledge into practice, to interact with the community, to get closer to the local reality, to understand the concerns and doubts of the population about the topic and, above all, to contribute to the promotion as well as to the prevention of disease considering the health needs of the population, so that science is in fact at the service of communities.The BLS is a theoretical-practical course created by the American Heart Association (AHA), which promotes learning about first aid measures, in emergency situations, especially with cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
