DO MANGUEZAL À COMUNIDADE: EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL PARA O DESCARTE CORRETO DE RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS
Os manguezais proporcionam
nichos para diversos grupos de animais que
o utilizam em sua alimentação, reprodução,
desova e crescimento, além de servirem como
protetores costeiros contra erosão atenuando
a força das marés. A Reserva Ecológica de
Manguezais da Lagoa de Roteiro no estado
de Alagoas é de grande importância para
a preservação da vida selvagem (flora e
fauna). A proteção deste Manguezal garante
sobrevivência do ecossistema e da comunidade
faunística que dele depende. Diante disto, o
objetivo deste trabalho foi qualificar e quantificar
o lixo presente nas áreas em estudo, durante
os meses de pesquisa. Foram analisados
desmatamentos da vegetação nativa do mangue
além da presença de resíduos sólidos. O item
encontrado com maior porcentagem foi o PET
com 67% durante todos os meses. Atividades
de sensibilização também foram realizadas na
Escola Correia Titara em Piaçabuçu/AL, sendo
o público alvo alunos do ensino Fundamental II,
Ensino Médio e professores das disciplinas de
Química, Física, Biologia, Ciências, Geografia
e Artes. Ao fim das atividades na escola as
turmas foram levadas a ao Manguezal da
Lagoa de Roteiro. Em outra oportunidade,
levados ao Manguezal o qual convivem que é
mais degradado, mangue do Peba, para que
eles pudessem ver na prática tudo o que foi
abordado em sala, amplificando a importância
de sensibilizar a comunidade local quanto a
preservação deste ecossistema. A educação
ambiental é instrumento importantíssimo
para superar os atuais impasses da nossa
sociedade, contribuindo para a formação de
cidadãos conscientes.

Abstract:
Mangroves provide niches for
diverse groups of animals that use it in their
feeding, breeding, spawning and growing, and
serve as coastal protectors against erosion by
reducing the force of the tides. The Mangrove Ecological Reserve of Lagoa do Roteiro
in the state of Alagoas is of great importance for the preservation of wildlife (flora and
fauna). The protection of this Mangrove ensures the survival of the ecosystem and
the faunal community that depend on it. Thus, the aim of this work was to qualify and
quantify the solid waste present in the study areas during the study. Deforestation of the
native mangrove vegetation was analyzed in addition to the presence of solid waste.
The item with the highest percentage was PET with 67% during all months. Awareness
activities were also carried out at the Correia Titara School in Piaçabuçu / AL, with the
target audience being Elementary School students, Secondary School and professors in
Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Sciences, Geography and Arts. At the end of the activities
in the school the classes were taken to the Mangrove of Lagoa do Roteiro. On another
occasion, they were taken to the Mangrove, where they coexist that is more degraded,
Peba mangrove, so they could see in practice everything that was approached in the
room, amplifying the importance of sensitizing the local community to the preservation
of this ecosystem. Environmental education is a very important instrument to overcome
the current impasses of our society, contributing to the formation of conscious citizen
