DO CARNAVAL AO DÍA DE MUERTOS: ROMPENDO ESTEREÓTIPOS RUMO À INTERCULTURALIDADE CRÍTICA NO ENSINO DE LÍNGUAS
Este trabalho tem como objetivo discutir acerca da cultura no ensino de línguas. Ainda que esse elemento esteja presente em muitas práticas educativas, estereótipos culturais são recorrentes, reforçando simplificações e estigmas acerca da línguas e de seus falantes. Nesse sentido, este trabalho propõe discutir acerca da interculturalidade como mudança de paradigma na conscientização sobre a nova cultura, bem como entendimento sobre a própria identidade cultural do aprendiz. Esse processo intercultural é elucidado, neste texto, por meio da apresentação de duas propostas de ensino: o tratamento do Día de muertos, para o ensino/aprendizagem de Espanhol Língua Estrangeira (ELE), e o Carnaval, para o ensino/aprendizagem de Português Língua Estrangeira (PLE).

Abstract:
This chapter aims to discuss culture in language teaching. Although this element is present in many educational practices, simplifications and stigmas about languages and their speakers are still frequent. In this sense, this chapter proposes to discuss interculturality as a paradigm shift in awareness about the new culture, as well as understanding about the learner's own cultural identity. This intercultural process is elucidated, in this text, through the presentation of two teaching proposals: the treatment of Día de muertos, for the teaching/learning of Spanish Foreign Language (ELE, in portuguese), and Carnival, for the teaching/learning of Portuguese Foreign Language (PLE, in portuguese).
