DISTRIBUIÇÃO BIDIMENSIONAL DA PROFUNDIDADE DE MISTURA NO RESERVATÓRIO DE LAJEADO, TOCANTINS
O termo profundidade de mistura é definido como a profundidade máxima perturbada pela onda de vento ao propagar. No presente trabalho esse conceito é aplicado ao Reservatório de Lajeado, localizado no estado do Tocantins. As profundidades são determinadas com base em representações bidimensionais da superfície do corpo hídrico, obtidas pela aplicação da técnica de simulação denominada paramétrica bidimensional (MPB), recentemente desenvolvida. Conclui-se tratar-se de local que dificilmente atinge uma condição de estratificação térmica, devendo ser comum a ressuspensão de sedimentos do fundo.

Abstract:
The term mixing depth is defined as the maximum depth disturbed by the wind wave when propagating. In the present work this concept is applied to the Lajeado Reservoir, located in the state of Tocantins. Depths are determined based on two-dimensional representations of the water body surface, obtained by the simulation technique named parametric two-dimensional simulation method (MPB). It is concluded that this study area is a site that hardly reaches a thermal stratification condition, and resuspension of bottom sediments should be common.
