DISTORÇÃO IDADE-SÉRIE NO ENSINO FUNDAMENTAL EM ESCOLA PÚBLICA DE CAMPO LARGO DO PIAUÍ PIAUÍ-PI
A distorção idade-série está dentre
os problemas que, historicamente, fazem parte
dos debates e reflexões no âmbito da educação
pública brasileira e que, infelizmente, ainda
ocupa até os dias atuais espaço de relevância
no cenário das políticas públicas e da educação
em particular. Assim, neste trabalho objetivouse identificar os fatores que contribuem para o
fenômeno da distorção idade-série em escola
pública do município de Campo Largo do PiauíPI. O estudo foi realizado em uma escola da
rede municipal de ensino de Campo Largo
do Piauí-PI. A coleta de dados foi realizada
por meio de instrumento específico na forma
de questionário, direcionadas a 60 alunos da
unidade de educação básica elegida para o
estudo, de modo a se obter informações sobre:
idade, verificação da distorção, tempo de
matrícula do aluno na escola, quantidade de
alunos contribuindo com fenômeno da distorção,
fatores mais frequentes que têm levado à
distorção. Por fim, as informações obtidas
neste trabalho foram sumarizadas em planilhas
e analisadas por meio do Software Microsoft
Excel. A maioria dos estudantes mencionaram
o ambiente escolar como um dos principais
fatores que contribuíram para o fracasso escolar,
além da falta de apoio da família e da influência
dos profissionais da educação e de uma política
funcional. Portanto, foi possível constatar que
é preciso se prevenir a origem deste problema
desde as séries iniciais do ensino fundamental,
pois em virtude dos inúmeros fatores sociais,
alguns estudantes já demonstram no início
da vida escolar uma tendência a perpetuação
desse fenômeno.

Abstract:
The age-series distortion is one of the problems that, historically, are part of the debates and reflections in the scope of
Brazilian public education and, unfortunately, still occupies to the present day space
of relevance in the scenario of public policies and education in particular. So, this
study aimed to identify the factors that contribute to the phenomenon of age-series
distortion in a public school in the city of Campo Largo of Piauí-PI. The study was
carried out at a school in the municipal school network of Campo Largo of Piauí-PI. The
data collection was done through a specific instrument in the form of a questionnaire
directed to 60 students of the basic education unit chosen for the study, in order to
obtain information on: age, distortion check, student enrollment time in school, number
of students contributing to the phenomenon of distortion, more frequent factors that
have led to distortion. Finally, the information obtained in this work was summarized in
spreadsheets and analyzed through Microsoft Excel Software. Most students mentioned
the school environment as one of the main contributing factors to school failure, as well
as the lack of support from the family and the influence of education professionals and
a functional policy. Therefore, it was possible to verify that it is necessary to prevent
the origin of this problem from the initial grades of elementary school, because due to
the numerous social factors, some students already demonstrate at the beginning of
school life a tendency to perpetuate this phenomenon.
