DISSECAÇÃO E ANÁLISE DE OLHO BOVINO EM AULAS PRÁTICAS DE ANATOMIA HUMANA: ATIVIDADE PRÁTICA EXPERIMENTAL
O conhecimento anatômico é fundamental para a formação de profissionais da saúde, sendo necessárias numerosas aulas práticas. Em relação aos órgãos sensitivos, o estudo da anatomia do globo ocular apresenta especial dificuldade devido às transformações por que passa o órgão post-mortem. Ainda, sabe-se que a peça cadavérica e a dissecação anatômica são benéficas para o aprendizado. Assim, um método que vem sendo utilizado em muitas faculdades é a utilização de órgãos animais, como o olho bovino. Este trabalho visa relatar a experiência de alunos de medicina a partir da dissecação do olho bovino e verificar sua viabilidade didática. Foram dissecados 5 olhos bovinos, adquiridos em um matadouro regular da cidade de Paulista-PE. Os objetivos do olho humano listados pela Terminologia Anatômica foram verificados e as estruturas foram dissecadas e identificadas com o auxílio de um atlas de anatomia humana. Por fim, os alunos foram convidados a evidenciar os pontos positivos e negativos da prática. Foi possível observar uma boa correspondência entre os olhos bovino e humano, evidenciando as principais estruturas intrínsecas, como cristalino, retina e outros, e extrínsecas, como músculos do bulbo do olho. De acordo com os relatos dos alunos (n = 16), a prática foi positiva por materializar o conteúdo teórico, além de a dissecação permitir melhor fixação da matéria. No entanto, foram relatados deficiência de materiais e pouca habilidade para dissecação como pontos negativos. O olho bovino apresenta os principais objetivos do olho humano listados pela Terminologia Anatômica, sendo viável para a substituição do olho humano em atividades práticas de Anatomia Humana. Além disso, a aula prática com dissecação é viável, além de ter sido bem aceita pelos alunos.

Abstract:
Anatomical knowledge is fundamental for the formation of health professionals, and numerous practical classes are required. Regarding the sensitive organs, the study of the anatomy of the eyeball presents special difficulty due to the transformations that the post-mortem organ undergoes. Moreover, it is known that the cadaveric piece and anatomical dissection are beneficial for learning. Therefore, a method that has been used in many medical schools is the use of animal organs, such as the bovine eye. This work intends to report the experience of medical students from the dissection of the bovine eye and verify its didactic viability. Five bovine eyes were dissected, acquired in a regular slaughterhouse in the city of Paulista-PE. The objectives of the human eye listed by the Anatomical Terminology were verified and the structures were dissected and identified with the help of an atlas of human anatomy. Finally, the students were invited to highlight the positive and negative points of the practice. It was possible to observe a good correspondence between the bovine and human eyes, showing the main intrinsic structures, such as crystalline, retina and others, and extrinsic, such as muscles of the eye bulb. According to the reports of the students (n = 16), the practice was positive for materializing the theoretical content, besides the dissection allowed better fixation of the subject. However, material deficiency and poor ability to dissect were reported as negative points. The bovine eye presents the main objectives of the human eye listed by the Anatomical Terminology, being viable for the replacement of the human eye in practical activities of Human Anatomy. In addition, the practical class with dissection is feasible and well accepted by students.
