Abstract: INTRODUCTION. Pelvic floor dysfunctions are due to several factors and cause an imbalance in the function of the perineal muscles. According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics, in the coming years the demand for services related to pelvic health will increase twice as much as the female population growth. In the same intensity that pelvic dysfunctions are identified, it is important to relate it to the practice of physical activity, especially Crossfit®, which will be addressed in this study, which has gained notoriety over the years. GOAL. OBJECTIVE: To identify pelvic floor dysfunctions and their relationship with the practice of Crossfit® ️ in women from training centers in Fortaleza-Ceará. METHODOLOGY. This is a cross-sectional study, with a descriptive observational design, of a quantitative nature with women, using the "virtual snowball" technique, with a questionnaire validated and translated into the PFDI-20 Portuguese and two sociodemographic questionnaires created by the researchers. FINDINGS. The investigated population was between 26 and 32 years old, 119 were nulliparous and 17 reported having undergone vaginal delivery. Regarding the knowledge about the pelvic floor musculature and its functions, it was observed that 145 of the women had heard of this musculature and 109 knew about its dysfunctions. In the characterization, it was identified that the signs and symptoms were related to the loss of urine and gas, and regarding the occurrence in Crossfit® ️, 21 women highlighted losing urine in the Double under exercise and 21 reported escaping gas in the squat with weight. Although most of the 150 women reported not stopping physical trainingque to avoid incontinence. CONCLUSION. It is necessary to carry out more researc for fear of leakage, 78 emptied their bladder before starting the workout as a method/technih on anal incontinence (found in this study) in Crossfit® practitioners, in addition to evaluations of this population by a physical therapist in order to guide the prevention and treatment of these dysfunctions.
