Abstract: Currently, companies in the secondary sector, to remain in the market and be competitive, must optimize their production processes, reduction of costs, production time, waste of materials, labor, etc. The objective of the project is to design a system for the improvement of production systems to increase their efficiency based on improvement models such as PHVA, DMAIC, 5W + 2H, Six Sigma and lean manufacturing. The methodology used was the theory of dynamic capabilities to identify areas of opportunity, then the statistical analysis of key parameters was used to identify the main causes of variability in the process that directly affects the economic part of the company. The findings contribute to good manufacturing practices, increased productivity, business image, as well as the maintenance of competitive advantage.
