Abstract: Agribusiness plays a crucial role in the Brazilian economy, accounting for a significant portion of GDP and job creation. However, its expansion raises critical issues related to Agrarian Law, such as property security, sustainable land use, and rural workers’ rights. This article analyzes current agrarian legislation, highlighting the tensions between intensive agricultural production and environmental preservation. In addition, it discusses the social implications of land concentration and agrarian conflicts, proposing a reflection on the need for a more effective balance between production and the protection of natural resources. Thus, the analysis seeks to contribute to a deeper understanding of the dynamics between agribusiness and Agrarian Law, highlighting the urgency of public policies that promote equity and sustainability. The relevance of agribusiness in the Brazilian economy is indisputable, but its expansion must be accompanied by a critical reflection on its social and environmental impacts. Security of tenure, often challenged by agrarian conflicts, is a central aspect that demands a more robust and inclusive approach. Small farmers, often marginalized, face difficulties in accessing land, which exacerbates inequality in the countryside. Furthermore, unsustainable land use, driven by intensive agricultural practices, threatens biodiversity and water resources, raising concerns about long-term sustainability. Agrarian legislation must evolve to balance economic interests and social needs, promoting environmental protection. Tensions between production and preservation are not only a legal issue, but also an ethical one, requiring a commitment to practices that respect the environment and human rights. Therefore, it is urgent to implement public policies that aim not only at economic efficiency, but also at social justice and environmental sustainability. This balance is essential to ensure that agribusiness does not compromise the future of future generations, contributing to development that is truly sustainable and inclusive. The intersection between agribusiness and Agrarian Law must be understood as a dynamic field that requires continuous dialogue between the different social actors involved.
