Direito à educação em Minas Gerais: um panorama estatístico e legislativo.
Neste trabalho avalia-se o papel do Poder Legislativo mineiro no contexto das políticas públicas de educação no Estado. Tomando como base as ferramentas, estratégias e diretrizes desenvolvidas pela Assembleia Legislativa de Minas Gerais (ALMG), procurou-se aferir se essa instituição tem cumprido seu papel constitucional no que diz respeito às políticas públicas em educação no âmbito estadual. Para tanto, neste estudo recorreu-se aos relatórios institucionais da ALMG elaborados nos últimos anos, bem como aos trabalhos da Consultoria em educação e da Comissão de Educação, Ciência e Tecnologia (CECT), ambas pertencentes ao legislativo mineiro.

Abstract:
In this work, the role of the legislative power in Minas Gerais State is evaluated in the context of public education policies. Based on the tools, strategies and guidelines developed by the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais (LAMG), we sought to assess whether this institution has fulfilled its constitutional role with regard to public policies in education at the state level. To this end, this study used the institutional reports of ALMG prepared in recent years, as well as the work of the Consultancy in education and the Commission for Education, Science and Technology (CEST), both belonging to the Minas Gerais parliament.
