Abstract: The aim of this paper is to analyze aggressive behavior through a multidimensional framework that incorporates impulsivity and hostility as key transdiagnostic variables. It explores the neurobiological, cognitive, and behavioral mechanisms underlying both reactive and proactive aggression, emphasizing the role of inhibitory control, emotional regulation, and cognitive biases. Drawing on tools such as the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale (BIS-11) and the Buss-Durkee Hostility Inventory (BDHI), the article describes how the various dimensions of impulsivity relate to specific manifestations of aggressive behavior. Furthermore, it addresses moderating factors such as alexithymia, anxiety, and neurofunctional impairments in clinical and forensic populations. The text proposes an integrative dual-pathway model in which hostility shapes the cognitive script, while impulsivity acts as a mechanism driving the execution of the behavior. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of multi-method assessments and evidence-based preventive interventions grounded in neuropsychological and clinical research.
