Abstract: The sources that make up the global energy matrix have been diversifying, due to the emergence of efforts to replace polluting generating sources with alternative sources, such as wind, photovoltaic, and biomass. However, they are intermittent energy sources, which reflect a generated power with variability and uncertainties, making it necessary to study the reliability of generation concerning the demand to be met. This article presents the design of a wind farm to supply a load of 15 MW in a hypothetical situation, based on reliability and severity analyses based on wind measurements in the area of interest and technical data of the wind turbines used. Capacity outage probability tables (COPT) and sensitivity analyzes were developed to verify the main indicators.
