DIFICULDADES NO USO DE ESTUDOS ETNOBOTÂNICOS PARA A SAÚDE PÚBLICA: METANÁLISE DE ESTUDOS EM PERNAMBUCO
Com o intuito de procurar uma maneira de utilizar de forma ótima os dados etnobotânicos e etnofarmacológicos locais para organizar medidas de promoção à saúde pública entre outras, foram avaliados diferentes estudos de caráter etnobotânico e etnofarmacológico realizados em território pernambucano. Uma busca foi realizada em três indexadores dos quais foram selecionados artigos em português e inglês para análise. Entre os problemas principais encontrados, destacaram-se algumas questões quanto aos indicadores utilizados, indicações redundantes, ausência do número de citações por espécies e metodologia mal descrita. Esses resultados indicam que a falta de padronização em vários níveis, na forma de apresentar os dados é um problema notável para comparar e/ou juntar dados de diferentes estudos. Muitos dos problemas podem ser justificados pelas dificuldades intrínsecas da pesquisa etnobotânica e da complexidade da área de estudo, entre outros fatores. Apesar disso foram identificadas algumas formas de minimizar esse problema e aumentar o potencial de uso dos estudos.

Abstract:
In order to look for a way to make the best use of local ethnobotanical and ethnopharmacological data to organize measures to promote public health, among others, different studies of ethnobotanical and ethnopharmacological character carried out in Pernambuco territory were evaluated. A search was carried out in three indexers from which articles in Portuguese and English were selected for analysis. Among the main problems encountered, some issues were highlighted regarding the indicators used, redundant indications, absence of the number of citations by species and poorly described methodology. These results indicate that the lack of standardization at various levels, in the way of presenting the data, is a notable problem for comparing and / or gathering data from different studies. Many of the problems can be justified by the intrinsic difficulties of ethnobotanical research and the complexity of the area of study, among other factors. Despite this, some ways have been identified to minimize this problem and increase the potential for using the studies.
