DIFICULDADES E PERSPECTIVAS DOS ACADÊMICOS DO CURSO DE LICENCIATURA EM MATEMÁTICA DO IFNMG CAMPUS JANUÁRIA
Este trabalho tem como objetivo identificar as dificuldades e perspectivas dos estudantes do curso de Licenciatura em Matemática do Instituto Federal do Norte de Minas Gerais (IFNMG) campus Januária. Tal pesquisa foi realizada durante o segundo semestre de 2016 através de um questionário, abordando temas sociais e escolares, aplicado a aproximadamente 55% do total dos alunos matriculados no mesmo semestre. Os dados mostram que 95% dos acadêmicos pesquisados já encontraram dificuldades no processo de ensino e aprendizagem durante a graduação, sendo que a principal dificuldade citada foi a mudança do habito de estudo e a medida adotada com maior frequência para superar estas dificuldades é o estudo em grupo. Além disso, apenas três alunos escolheram o curso por desejar seguir carreira docente, apesar de que 79% pretendem fazer pós-graduação, dos quais, a maioria almeja seguir na área da Educação Matemática. Assim, percebe-se que este tipo de pesquisa é imprescindível, possibilitando aos docentes que conheçam os alunos ali inseridos para aperfeiçoar suas práticas pedagógicas.

Abstract:
This work aims to identify the difficulties and perspectives of students in the Mathematics Degree course at the Instituto Federal do Norte de Minas Gerais (IFNMG) campus Januária. This survey was conducted during the second semester of 2016 through a questionnaire, approaching social and school topics, applied to approximately 55% of the total students enrolled in the same semester. The data show that 95% of the academics surveyed already lose difficulties in the teaching and learning process during graduation, with the main difficulty cited for changing the study habit and the measure most frequently adopted to overcome the difficulties being group study. Furthermore, only three students chose the course because they wanted to a teaching career, despite the fact that 79% intend to pursue graduate studies, of which, most of them aim to follow in the area of Mathematics Education. Thus, it is clear that this type of research is essential, enabling teachers to get to know the students there to improve their pedagogical practices.
