Abstract: This work is part of the thesis under the proposal of the own practice with the title TEACHING NATURAL SCIENCES THROUGH INQUIRY IN PRIMARY SCHOOL derives from the problematization on the teaching of natural sciences in primary education, based on two questions Does the educational practice in the teaching of natural sciences please primary school teachers and future teachers? Is there a viable methodology for teaching natural sciences in elementary school? On the one hand, a proposal is made to improve the didactics of natural science teaching based on the inquiry proposed by John Dewey. Another determining factor is related to teachers' beliefs about their pleasure in teaching natural sciences. For this reason, a diagnosis is integrated with 50 teachers, under two categories: teachers in front of the group and teachers in training, and a pilot test on inquiry is integrated.
