Abstract: Work-related accidents involving adolescents are a significant public health and social justice issue in Brazil, with direct implications for the physical, psychological, and educational development of this population. This study aims to analyze the epidemiology and social determinants related to work-related accidents among adolescent workers in the state of Maranhão, taking into account socioeconomic factors, cultural influences, and working conditions. Data from the Continuous National Household Sample Survey (PNAD) and the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) from 2020 to 2024 were used, along with complementary information from the Social and Labor Observatory Bulletin in Maranhão (FNPETI, 2022; IBGE, 2019). The research seeks to identify the main factors associated with the occurrence of these accidents and discuss preventive strategies that consider the intersectorality of public policies aimed at protecting the health of adolescent workers.
