Abstract: In 2020 we are facing an unprecedented case in the last 100 years, the total closure of schools due to the declaration of the COVID-19 pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO) in March, therefore which we found ourselves in the need to teach at a distance, but this new scenario brings great changes that modify everything: routines, times, school spaces, and it was adapted by technological tools as mediators of the teaching-learning process, now we return to the face-to-face model without completely ruling out the virtual; but they have forgotten something essential, could it be that the students have what it takes to receive this teaching? The biggest obstacle detected was connectivity where Mexico is very weak. The objective of this research is to identify and determine the perceived obstacles and whether high school students have learned in the mixed modality. A diagnostic questionnaire of 30 items was carried out via email, applied to 265 high school students of the Autonomous University of Campeche. In the results it was observed that 95.5 (253) affirm that they always have a device for their online education, 4.2% (11) only sometimes and 1 affirm that they do not. An important piece of information is the question of how much you would like to continue drinking online or virtual and it was observed that 20.2% would like it very much, 31.9% if they like it, 19.8% are indifferent, 16.0% like it little, but 12.2% do not like it. We can conclude that the effort made by many teachers paid off and still more than 50% affirm that they like the digital modality, so this period prepared us all, both students, teachers and authorities, to transform our virtual teaching and that little by little achieve improvements without neglecting that our student population can continue to adapt and learn more every day with or without obstacles, how the Mexican educational system urgently needs a change of strategy to have better education in general.
