Abstract: In view of the insertion of cell phones in the work routine of health professionals, the need for this present study was evident, which proposed to detect the presence of SARS-CoV-2 on these professionals' cell phones, as well as to highlight the perception of biosafety during the pandemic caused by COVID-19. The qualitative analysis of SARS-CoV-2 was carried out by means of collections for molecular biology tests from the cell phones of health professionals and, later, the processing of these samples through the laboratory diagnosis RT-PCR, in addition, the interviewees also answered the questionnaire of biosafety proposed by the project. Results obtained from laboratory-processed samples were 100% negative for SARS-CoV-2; the biosafety questionnaire pointed out that 90% of respondents changed their perception and had greater rigor in biosafety practices during the pandemic. Finally, no SARS-COV-2 viral particles were detected in cell phones when subjected to molecular biology assays, possibly due to the detection limit of the method.
