DESIGUALDADE: REALIDADE OU FICÇÃO? SÉRIE BRASILEIRA 3% A LUZ DA RACIONALIDADE EM MAX WEBER E DO DISCURSO RACIONAL EM JÜRGEN HABERMAS
Este artigo se propõe a analisar o seriado brasileiro “03%” (três por cento) a partir do conceito de racionalidade em Max Weber, bem como das proposições de Jurgen Habermas acerca do discurso racional. Esta série, que teve sua origem em um trabalho de conclusão de curso de alunos da Escola de Comunicações e Artes da USP e gravado posteriormente pela Netflix no ano de 2016, trata de uma sociedade distópica em que ideias como meritocracia, inteligência cognitiva e força física tornam-se quesitos para a realização de provas nas quais três em cada cem pessoas teriam a oportunidade de deixar uma sociedade hostil e sem recursos naturais para passar a viver com outros “merecedores” em uma ilha com tecnologia avançada e recursos em abundância. Os conceitos dos tipos de ação racional de Weber serão utilizados para a interpretação das ações dos personagens, assim como a forma e a noção de discurso racional habermasiano pode estar em jogo no seriado como uma alternativa de transformação paradigmática dos contextos desiguais e injustos. Para tanto, o método científico utilizado será o dedutivo ao utilizar as teorias de Max Weber e de Jurgen Habermas na direção dos fatos inseridos no seriado 03%, utilizando o método monográfico como procedimento de análise cultural do grupo de personagens inseridos na série.

Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the Brazilian series “03%” (three percent) based on Max Weber's concept of rationality, as well as Jurgen Habermas' propositions about rational discourse. This series, which had its origins in a course conclusion work by students at the School of Communications and Arts at USP and later recorded by Netflix in 2016, deals with a dystopian society in which ideas such as meritocracy, cognitive intelligence and physical strength they become requirements for conducting tests in which three out of every hundred people would have the opportunity to leave a hostile society without natural resources to live with other “deserving ones” on an island with advanced technology and abundant resources. Weber's concepts of types of rational action will be used to interpret the characters' actions, as well as the form and notion of rational Habermasian discourse may be at play in the series as an alternative for the paradigmatic transformation of unequal and unfair contexts. Therefore, the scientific method used will be the deductive one, using the theories of Max Weber and Jurgen Habermas in the direction of the facts inserted in the series 03%, using the monographic method as a procedure for cultural analysis of the group of characters included in the series.
