DESENVOLVIMENTO SUSTENTÁVEL NO SEMIÁRIDO: A EXPERIÊNCIA DA COOPERATIVA AGROPECUÁRIA FAMILIAR DE CURAÇÁ, UAUÁ E CANUDOS – COOPERCUC.
O presente trabalho tem a finalidade
de descrever o contexto de desenvolvimento
sustentável da COOPERCUC, tendo como
objeto de estudo o impacto social transformador
da cooperativa e a sua convivência com o
semiárido. Para tanto, utilizou da pesquisa
descritiva e exploratória, de caráter qualitativo.
Os dados foram coletados em documentos
da organização e em visita técnica realizada.
A Cooperativa Agropecuária Familiar de
Canudos, Uauá e Curaçá (COOPERCUC)
convive com o semiárido visando uma
produção ecologicamente correta em
favor da preservação do bioma caatinga,
economicamente viável e socialmente justa e
solidária, contribuindo para o desenvolvimento
das comunidades, no Território do Sertão do São
Francisco, região semiárida da Bahia. Observase
que a cooperativa tem se desenvolvido de
forma positiva e tem beneficiado os agentes
envolvidos. As parcerias construídas ao longo
do tempo têm colaborado economicamente,
agregando valor aos processos e também
fortalecendo a agricultura familiar possibilitando
assim, um desenvolvimento sustentável para
as regiões atendidas.

Abstract:
The purpose of this paper is
to describe COOPERCUC ‘s sustainable
development context, with the purpose of
studying the transformative social impact of the
cooperative and its coexistence with the semi
- arid region. For that, he used descriptive and
exploratory research, of a qualitative nature.
The data were collected in the organization’s
documents and in a technical visit. The
Cooperativa Agropecuária Familiar de Canudos,
Uauá and Curaçá (COOPERCUC) coexists with
the semi-arid region aiming at an ecologically
correct production in favor of the preservation
of the caatinga biome, economically viable and
socially just and solidary, contributing to the
development of the communities in the Sertão
São Francisco, semi-arid region of Bahia. It is
observed that the cooperative has developed
in a positive way and has benefited the agents
involved. The partnerships built over time have
collaborated economically, adding value to
the processes and also strengthening family
farming, thus enabling a sustainable development for the regions served.
