DESENVOLVIMENTO INICIAL DE CITROS EM FUNÇÃO DO MANEJO DE PLANTAS ESPONTÂNEAS E DE COMBINAÇÕES DE COPA E PORTA-ENXERTO
O presente trabalho objetivou avaliar o desenvolvimento inicial de plantas cítricas em função de tipos de manejos de plantas daninhas e de diferentes combinações de copa e porta-enxerto. O estudo foi conduzido em área experimental. O experimento instalado contou com 10 combinações de copa e porta-enxertos avaliados, sendo metade delas com copa Lima ácida “Tahiti” (LM FLY, LM SD, LM RV, LM CV, LM CT) e a outra parte com Laranjeira Pêra (LR SK, LR SD, LR RV, LR CV, LR IN). O delineamento foi em blocos ao acaso, no esquema de parcela subdividida 2x10 com quatro repetições, no qual as parcelas principais são os tipos de manejo de cobertura do solo, e as subparcelas constituídas de combinações de copas e porta-enxertos, no espaçamento de 6,8m x 3m. O desenvolvimento vegetal foi avaliado por meio de variáveis vegetativas. Nas condições do presente estudo LM FLY apresentou menor altura de planta e volume de copa no período avaliado. Para a Laranjeira ‘Pêra’ o porta-enxerto que apresentou características mais próxima ao LM FLY foi o Citrandarin ‘Indio’. Contudo, as maiores alturas de laranja ‘Pêra’ foram obtidas nas combinações LR SD e LR SK; e os maiores volumes para a lima ácida ‘Tahiti’ foram obtidos nas combinações LM SD, LM RV e LM CV. Os melhores índices de compatibilidades foram observados nos tratamentos LM CV e LR SK, enquanto a pior foi constatada na lima ácida ‘Tahiti’ sobre o Citrumelo Swingle. Os diferentes manejos de plantas daninhas não influenciaram em nenhuma das variáveis analisadas, porém se notou sua interação com os materiais genéticos na altura aos 11 meses após o transplantio, quando o manejo ecológico induziu um menor crescimento em LR RV e um porte maior em LR IN.

Abstract:
The present work aimed to evaluate the initial development of citrus plants as a function of types of weed management and different combinations of top and rootstock. The study was conducted in an experimental area. The experiment consisted of 10 combinations of canopy and rootstock evaluated, half of them with acidic lime "Tahiti" (LM FLY, LM SD, LM RV, LM CV, LM CT) and the other part with Pera orange (LR SK, LR SD, LR RV, LR CV, LR IN). The design was randomized block design, 2x10 subdivided with four repetitions, in which the main plots are the types of soil cover management, and the subplots consisted of crown and rootstock combinations, at spacing of 6.8m x 3m. Plant development was evaluated by means of vegetative variables. Under the conditions of the present study LM FLY showed lower plant height and canopy volume in the evaluated period. For the orange tree 'Pêra' the rootstock that presented the closest characteristics to LM FLY was Citrandarin 'Indio'. However, the highest heights for 'Pêra' orange were obtained in the combinations LR SD and LR SK; and the highest volumes for 'Tahiti' acid lime were obtained in the combinations LM SD, LM RV and LM CV. The best compatibility indices were observed in the LM CV and LR SK treatments, while the worst was found in the 'Tahiti' acid lime on Citrumelo Swingle. The different weed management did not influence any of the variables analyzed, but the interaction with the genetic materials was noted in the height at 11 months after transplanting, when the ecological management induced a lower growth in LR RV and a larger growth in LR IN.
