DESENVOLVIMENTO ECONÓMICO REGIONAL: UM ENFOQUE NO IMPACTO DE ESTRATÉGIAS DE CONTENÇÃO DE BARREIRAS EM TERCEIROS MERCADOS

O artigo tem como objectivo analisar o "Desenvolvimento Económico Regional, tendo como enfoque no impacto de estratégias de contenção de barreiras em terceiros mercados". Tem abordagem qualitativa, método descritivo, accionado com a técnica de recolha de dados e análise documental. Os objectivos específicos: analisar a contribuição do sector terciário na economia moçambicana; descrever as barreiras comerciais enfrentados por Moçambique em terceiros mercados e rever as estratégias de Moçambique na contenção de barreiras comerciais em terceiros mercados. Conclui-se que o sector de serviço a nível mundial, tem contribuído significativamente nas economias (com aumentos consideráveis no PIB per capita e nas condições de vida da população). Os EUA e a China têm o sector de serviços diversificados e desenvolvido contribuindo com bilhões de dólares nas suas economias. Moçambique, segue exemplos dessas economias a passos lentos. Em 2024, o sector terciário, contribuiu com 8.6 milhões de dólares. Pese embora haja Benefícios, o sector serviços moçambicano apresenta um leque de barreiras: o terrorismo, as mudanças climáticas, baixa qualificação do capital humano, disponibilidade de créditos financeiro a altas taxas de juros, deficiente e insuficientes infra-estruturas de transportes, entre outros. Recomendações: Estancar por definitivo o terrorismo, investir na educação e formação profissional de todos moçambicanos, expandir e investir em mais infra-estruturas de transportes de qualidade, rever a regulamentação do sector terciário moçambicano, abertura e disponibilidade de mais créditos a taxas de juros baixos para investimentos do sector terciário, entre outros; e estudos virados ao Terceiro Sector (organizações sem fins lucrativos).

  • Abstract: This article aims to analyze "Regional Economic Development, focusing on the impact of barrier containment strategies in third-party markets." It uses a qualitative approach and a descriptive method, using data collection and document analysis. The specific objectives are: to analyze the contribution of the tertiary sector to the Mozambican economy; to describe the trade barriers Mozambique faces in third-party markets; and to review Mozambique's strategies for containing trade barriers in third-party markets. It is concluded that the service sector has contributed significantly to economies worldwide (with considerable increases in GDP per capita and improved living standards). The United States and China have diversified and developed service sectors, contributing billions of dollars to their economies. Mozambique is slowly following suit. In 2024, the tertiary sector contributed US$8.6 million. Despite benefits, the Mozambican service sector faces a range of barriers: terrorism, climate change, low human capital qualifications, availability of high-interest financial credit, deficient and insufficient transportation infrastructure, among others. Recommendations: Definitively halt terrorism, invest in education and vocational training for all Mozambicans, expand and invest in more quality transportation infrastructure, review the regulations of the Mozambican tertiary sector, open up and make more credit available at low interest rates for tertiary sector investments, among others; and conduct studies focused on the Third Sector (non-profit organizations).
