DESENVOLVIMENTO E AVALIAÇÃO DAS PROPRIEDADES ANTISSÉPTICAS DE SABONETE LÍQUIDO PARA AS MÃOS ACRESCIDO DE ÓLEO ESSENCIAL DE ORÉGANO
A pesquisa por princípios ativos naturais no setor farmacêutico e cosmético está em franco crescimento, uma vez que há resistência dos microrganismos aos antimicrobianos convencionais. Considerando as diversas propriedades apresentadas pelos óleos essenciais, destaca-se o óleo essencial de Origanum vulgare (O. vulgare) conhecido popularmente como orégano, devido ao seu alto potencial como agente antimicrobiano. Desta forma, este trabalho teve como objetivo desenvolver sabonete líquido para as mãos contendo óleo essencial de O. vulgare, bem como determinar a atividade antimicrobiana e farmacotécnica das formulações. Foram desenvolvidas formulações com e sem óleo de orégano em duas concentrações (0,75 %, p/p e 1,0%, p/p). As formulações foram caracterizadas farmacotecnicamente quanto às características organolépticas, físico-químicas e microbiológicas. A atividade antimicrobiana foi verificada pelo método de curva de sobrevivência contra bactérias Gram positivas e negativas, incluindo cepas multirresistentes, que foram comparados com a atividade antimicrobiana do triclosan (padrão). A curva de sobrevivência comprovou a atividade antisséptica das formulações desenvolvidas. A formulação F1,0 apresentou melhor resposta frente aos microrganismos testados. Os resultados obtidos mostraram a eficácia das formulações desenvolvidas contra o crescimento dos microrganismos testados assim como suas características físico-químicas, conferindo ao produto uma futura inovação no mercado. Além disso, pode representar uma alternativa de produto natural para a higienização das mãos nos estabelecimentos de saúde que atualmente utilizam, em sua grande maioria, produtos contendo triclosan.

Abstract:
The search for natural active ingredients in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic sector is growing fast as there is resistance of microorganisms to conventional antimicrobials. Considering the various properties presented by essential oils, the essential oil of Origanum vulgare (O. vulgare), popularly known as oregano, stands out due to its high potential as an antimicrobial agent. Thus, this article aimed to develop liquid hand soap containing O. vulgare essential oil, as well as to determine the antimicrobial and pharmacotechnical activity of the formulations. Formulations with and without oregano oil were developed in two concentrations (0,75% w/w and 1,0% w/w). The formulations were pharmacotechnically characterized for organoleptic, physicochemical and microbiological characteristics. Antimicrobial activity was verified by the survival curve method against Gram positive and negative bacteria, including multidrug resistant strains, which were compared with triclosan antimicrobial activity (standard). The survival curve proved the antiseptic activity of the formulations developed. The F1,0 formulation presented better response to the tested microorganisms. The results showed the efficacy of the formulations developed against the growth of the tested microorganisms as well as their physicochemical characteristics, giving the product a future innovation in the market. In addition, it may represent a natural product alternative for hand hygiene in healthcare facilities that currently use mostly triclosan-containing products.
