Abstract: This research aims to evaluate the use of chamotte, a material derived from defective ceramic bricks, and sand obtained from lithium mining waste in the manufacture of new ceramic bricks. For this purpose, test specimens were prepared by varying the amount of these materials in the clay and evaluating the technological properties of linear drying shrinkage, linear firing shrinkage, water absorption and apparent density. The results showed that these materials, when added in certain quantities, can be used, proving beneficial since it reduces the removal of raw clay material from the environment, and replaces the other portion with passive waste, improving the quality of ceramic products.
