Abstract: The overall objective of this research was to analyze leadership competencies that influence career development in a private company. Committed and skilled leaders foster transformation and develop coherent teams, fostering unity, motivation, and recognition of individual skills. Aligned teams improve performance and operational efficiency, as well as conferring a competitive advantage to organizations. The study adopted a qualitative and exploratory approach. Qualitative data collection was conducted through semi-structured interviews with managers of a private occupational health company. The study reveals that the team needs to be managed by a good leader; it was evident that well-trained employees achieve goals and results effectively. The research achieved its initial objectives, and the objectives were met throughout the interviews. We suggest expanding the number of interviews in future research to further identify requirements related to the topic addressed.
