DESENVOLVIMENTO COGNITIVO DE CRIANÇAS COM SÍNDROME DE DOWN E O ACOMPANHAMENTO PSICOPEDAGÓGICO.
Este artigo tem por objetivo avaliar e analisar como melhorar o desenvolvimento cognitivo de crianças com Síndrome de Down e o acompanhamento psicopedagógico frente às práticas e estratégias aplicadas às crianças especiais possibilitando-lhes uma melhor integração na sociedade e inclusão no meio escolar. Nesse sentido, esse trabalho visa contribuir com a discussão acerca da possibilidade de trabalhar o cognitivo de crianças com Síndrome de Down com vistas face ao acompanhamento psicopedagógico o qual pode ser realizado no ambiente escolar, ou no ambiente clinico colaborando assim para aquisição constante de melhor qualidade de vida para estas pessoas. Baseia-se em uma pesquisa bibliográfica de caráter qualitativo, abrangendo investigações sobre o desenvolvimento cognitivo de crianças com Síndrome de Down. Trata a Síndrome de Down e seu histórico. Apresenta o desenvolvimento e conduta cognitiva da criança com Síndrome de Down. Aborda ainda, a psicopedagogia e seu campo de atuação. Trata também da investigação e intervenção psicopedagógica da criança com Síndrome de Down relatando possíveis intervenções nas áreas de maiores défices nestas crianças quanto á percepção, atenção, memória, psicomotricidade e linguagem. Esse trabalho visa ter como resultados, contribuir com a discussão acerca da atuação do psicopedagogo frente ao desenvolvimento cognitivo das crianças com Síndrome de Down.

Abstract:
This article aims to evaluate and analyze how to improve the cognitive development of children with Down Syndrome and the psychopedagogical follow-up regarding the practices and strategies applied to special children, allowing them a better integration in society and inclusion in the school environment. In this sense, this work aims to contribute to the discussion about the possibility of working on the cognitive of children with Down Syndrome with a view to psychopedagogical monitoring, which can be carried out in the school environment, or in the clinical environment, thus collaborating for the constant acquisition of better quality. of life for these people. It is based on a qualitative bibliographical research, covering investigations on the cognitive development of children with Down Syndrome. Treats Down Syndrome and its history. It presents the development and cognitive behavior of the child with Down Syndrome. It also addresses psychopedagogy and its field of action. It also deals with the investigation and psychopedagogical intervention of the child with Down Syndrome, reporting possible interventions in the areas of greatest deficits in these children in terms of perception, attention, memory, psychomotricity and language. This work aims to have as results, to contribute to the discussion about the performance of the psychopedagogue in front of the cognitive development of children with Down Syndrome.
