Abstract: This work's main objective is the detailed study of hydroenergy efficiency and the opportunities for implementing sustainable strategies in the construction of the Interdisciplinary Center for Energy Planning (NIPE) – UNICAMP – reducing energy and water consumption, in line with the Development Objectives Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 7 and 12 of the UN. Strategies such as replacing lighting fixtures, air conditioning equipment and hydraulic devices were proposed, aiming to optimize resource consumption; as well as the analysis to make these strategies viable. It was found that the air conditioning and lighting systems are the systems with the highest energy consumption in the building and the proposed changes contributed to reducing energy and water consumption significantly, with air conditioning equipment being the showed the smallest efficiency gains. Analysis of economic feasibility demonstrated that these interventions not only contribute to environmental sustainability, but also present positive financial returns. As the main product of the work, there is an accredited methodological framework that can be replicated in other UNICAMP buildings, as well as an indication of alternatives for optimizing hydroenergy and environmental comfort for the NIPE/UNICAMP building.
