Abstract: The biometric and biomass variables of corn, an important crop for the southwest of Minas Gerais, were analyzed. The experiment was conducted at the State University of Minas Gerais, in Passos, with three treatments, being corn hybrids: AS1820, AS1850 and AS1868. The variables analyzed were root size, plant height, length and width of the 3+ leaf, stem thickness, tassel size, number of ears, fresh and dry weight of the aerial part of the plant, and fresh and dry weight of the source. It is concluded that, under the analyzed conditions, it was not yet possible to identify which hybrid best stands out in the region of Passos-MG.
