DESCRIÇÃO DA TÉCNICA DE CRIODESIDRATAÇÃO APLICADA AO INTESTINO GROSSO DE UM EQUINO: RELATO DE CASO
Existem muitas técnicas alternativas na conservação de cadáveres e de peças anatômicas, tanto para o estudo na anatomia humana como também na anatomia veterinária. Uma delas é a criodesidratação. Nessa técnica o material é desidratado através do congelamento e descongelamento, tendo como vantagens o não uso permanente de formol para sua conservação, o fácil armazenamento e a leveza da peça. O objetivo deste trabalho é de descrever a técnica de criodesidratação que foi aplicada em um segmento intestinal (porção final do intestino delgado, ceco, cólon maior e parte do cólon menor) de um equino. A amostra foi lavada, insuflada e dado o início à técnica de congelamento e descongelamento, sendo primeiramente descongelada em água e após a seco. Aplicou-se também uma espuma expansiva, na tentativa de evitar que a peça sofresse alguma alteração com o passar dos anos em função do manuseio. Apesar do tempo já transcorrido da realização desta técnica a peça ainda se encontra em bom estado, facilitando a compreensão deste órgão por parte dos alunos.

Abstract:
There are many alternative techniques in the conservation of corpses and parts anatomy, both for the study in human anatomy and also in veterinary anatomy. One of them is cryodehydration. In this technique, the material is dehydrated through freezing and thawing, with the advantages of not using formaldehyde permanently for its conservation, the easy storage and lightness of the piece. The objective of this work is to describe the cryodehydration technique that was applied to an intestinal segment (final portion of the small intestine, cecum, large colon and part of the small colon) of a horse. The sample was washed, inflated and the freezing and thawing technique started, being first thawed in water and then dried. An expansive foam was also applied, in an attempt to prevent the piece from changing over the years due to handling. Despite the time already elapsed in the realization of this technique, the piece is still in good condition, facilitating the understanding of this organ by the students.
