Abstract: Efecto termoeléctrThis chapter presents the design and modeling of a cooling system using Peltier cells to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic systems. High temperatures in photovoltaic panels reduce their performance, so the use of Peltier cells is proposed, which take advantage of the thermoelectric effect to dissipate heat and maintain optimal temperatures. Peltier cells are integrated with heat sinks and other thermal components to create an efficient system. Through 3D modeling in SolidWorks, the complete cooling system is modeled, which contains the Peltier cells, heat exchanger and its support structure. Modeling using SolidWorks allows creating and visualizing multiple variations in the design and predicting the behavior of the system before its physical implementation. In addition, the benefits of this technology will be addressed both in large-scale photovoltaic installations and in smaller-scale applications, such as homes or autonomous devices.
