Abstract: : In the mining industry, the efficient operation of equipment is crucial, as these operations run continuously 24 hours a day, and any downtime due to a breakdown result in significant economic losses for each hour of inactivity. Maintenance plays a fundamental role in ensuring optimal performance and integrity of the equipment. In a mining plant, where the production process operates interconnectedly, a breakdown in one area can have a domino effect on other areas. Therefore, the plant maintenance department is responsible for preventing such situations. Currently, the maintenance approach is mainly corrective, meaning intervention occurs only when equipment fails. However, the company aims to adopt a more proactive approach, focusing on preventing unplanned shutdowns. The implementation of a preventive maintenance program in this project aims to prevent unexpected shutdowns in the plant and ensure the reliability and durability of the equipment. This program defines the frequency and type of maintenance to be carried out, as well as specific activities for each intervention. Maintenance schedules, developed based on information collected over the years and the experience of maintenance personnel, establish a series of actions ranging from visual inspections to more complex interventions in the equipment. This preventive approach aims to maximize operational efficiency and minimize the risk of failures in the plant
