DESAFIOS PARA O DESENVOLVIMENTO DO COMPLEXO AGROINDUSTRIAL DO EUCALIPTO PARA AGROENERGIA NA REGIÃO NORTE DO BRASIL
O entendimento dos aspectos
relacionados a um Complexo Agroindustrial
permite compreender as reações do mercado
e auxiliar os agentes envolvidos na tomada
de decisão. O objetivo deste trabalho foi
estudar o Complexo Agroindustrial da
Silvicultura Energética, na última fronteira
agrícola brasileira, com o objetivo de orientar
políticas e investimentos futuros na região.
Para tanto, utilizou-se a coleta de informações
nos elos que compõem a cadeia produtiva do
eucalipto por meio de consultas a documentos
governamentais, artigos científicos, revistas,
jornais e entrevistas. Considerando-se todas
as informações coletadas, concluiu-se que
o estado do Tocantins apresenta condições
favoráveis de solo e clima, terras baratas
e extensas áreas disponíveis para cultivo.
Também conta com incentivos governamentais
e custos de produção competitivos. No
entanto, o mercado consumidor apresenta uma
tendência de redução gradual no uso de carvão
como fonte de energia e os polos de consumo
estão muito distantes do local de produção, o
que pode aumentar o custo do produto final a
ponto de comprometer de forma significativa a
exploração dessa atividade no Estado.

Abstract:
The understanding of the aspects
related to an Agroindustrial Complex allows
to understand the reactions of the market and
to assist the agents involved in the decision
making. The objective of this work was to study
the Agroindustrial Complex of energy forestry in
the last Brazilian frontier aiming to guide policies
and future investments in the region. For this
purpose, it was used to collect information
about the links that make up the chain of energy forestry through consultations with
government documents, scientific articles, magazines, newspapers and interviews.
Considering all the information collected, it was concluded that the State of Tocantins
presents favorable soil and climatic conditions for cultivation, cheap lands and extensive
areas suitable for cultivation, governmental incentives and competitive production
costs. However, the consumer market presents a gradual reduction trend in the use of
charcoal as an energy source and the consumer poles are very far from the place of
production, which may increase the final product costs, to the point of compromising
significantly the exploitation of this activity in the state.
