DESAFIOS PARA A DESINTERNAÇÃO DE PORTADORES DE TRANSTORNO MENTAL EM CONFLITO COM A LEI
O presente artigo tem por objetivo
discutir os desafios encontrados no processo
judicial de indivíduos com transtorno mental
que transgrediram a lei. Ao longo da pesquisa,
apresenta-se dados relativos ao processo de
desinstitucionalização do paciente judiciário,
ressaltando a contribuição do psicólogo jurídico.
O trabalho desse profissional é fundamental para
assegurar a garantia dos direitos humanos e a
efetivação das Políticas Públicas relacionadas
ao indivíduo com transtorno mental. Os dados
apresentados nesta pesquisa concentram-se
na população de pacientes em tratamento em
hospital psiquiátrico de referência da cidade de
São Luís (MA).

Abstract:
This article aims to discuss
the challenges found in the judicial process
of individuals with mental disorders who
have transgressed the law. Throughout the
survey, presents data on the process of deinstitutionalisation
of patient judiciary, highlighting
the contribution of legal psychologist. The
work of this professional is essential to ensure
human rights and guarantee the execution of
public policies related to individual with mental
disorder. The data presented in this study
focuses on the patient population undergoing
treatment in psychiatric hospital of reference of
the city of São Luís (MA).
