Abstract: This article presents a critical analysis of the National Judiciary Pact for Plain Language, focusing on the legal and philosophical implications of simplifying language in judicial decisions. Initially, it examines the concept of plain language and its connection to the Frege-Geach Problem, which questions the preservation of normative attitudes in complex arguments. Subsequently, the discussion turns to the impact of this simplification, particularly from the perspective of expressivist metaethics, integrating the views of philosophers such as Gibbard and Blackburn. The research highlights reflections on how simplification may affect the coherence of judicial decisions, addressing philosophical critiques regarding the potential superficiality arising from this practice. The conclusion argues that, despite the intent of promoting clarity, plain language in the legal context may, in some cases, compromise the depth and precision of normative attitudes in decisions, requiring a more thorough assessment of its effects.
