DESAFIOS E POSSIBILIDADES DA ALFABETIZAÇÃO NO SISTEMA PRISIONAL EM SÃO MATEUS-ES: UM ESTUDO DE CASO
O presente Artigo destaca a pesquisa acerca da leitura e letramento de alunos do Sistema Prisional em São Mateus, ES. O problema se concentra em saber quais são os processos e práticas pedagógicas produzidas pelos docentes que visam a alfabetização dos alunos privados de liberdade? Diante desta indagação, se formulou como objetivo geral analisar quais são os desafios e possibilidades da alfabetização no ensino aprendizagem de Jovens e Adultos do Sistema Prisional do município de São Mateus. Os objetivos específicos foram: Identificar como a alfabetização consegue ressignificar a vida destes e tecer análise crítica sobre esse processo; observar as interações sociais e as práticas docentes no Sistema Prisional masculino de São Mateus; elaborar material didático-pedagógico que contribua para a alfabetização dos jovens e adultos privados de liberdade. A escolha do tema se deu pela necessidade de aprofundamento do debate acadêmico sobre as possibilidades de se construir metodologias específicas para a alfabetização do público citado, onde seus saberes e experiências de mundo possam contribuir como guias para a formulação de propostas curriculares político-pedagógicas e interacionistas. O referencial teórico se baseia em autores como Coll (2006), Ferreira (2011), Freire (1996) e outros. A pesquisa é qualitativa e teve como lócus o CDPM (Centro de Detenção Provisória) e Penitenciária de São Mateus com a turma da 1ª a da 4ª etapa. Os participantes da pesquisa foram dez alunos matriculados e 2 professoras. Ratifica-se o fato de que a alfabetização no Sistema Prisional é essencial e mesmo diante das dificuldades, vem buscando atuar de maneira eficaz e voltada para uma formação crítico-cidadã daqueles que não tiveram oportunidade de estudo na idade certa a conquistar sua autonomia, recuperar a autoestima e a dignidade.

Abstract:
This article highlights research on the reading and literacy of students in the prison system in São Mateus, ES. The problem focuses on the question: what are the pedagogical processes and practices produced by teachers that aim at the literacy of students deprived of their liberty? In view of this question, the general objective was to analyze what are the challenges and possibilities of literacy in the teaching of youth and adults in the Prison System of the municipality of São Mateus. The specific objectives were: Identify how literacy can resignify their lives and make a critical analysis about this process; observe social interactions and teaching practices in the male prison system in São Mateus; elaborate didactic-pedagogical material that contributes to the literacy of young people and adults deprived of freedom. The choice of the theme was due to the need to deepen the academic debate on the possibilities of building specific methodologies for the literacy of the mentioned public, where their knowledge and world experiences can contribute as guides for the formulation of proposals political-pedagogical and interactionist curricula. The theoretical framework is based on authors such as Coll (2006), Ferreira (2011), Freire (1996) and others. The research is qualitative, with the locus of the CDPM (São Mateus Provisional) and Prison Detention Center with the class from the 1st to the 4th stage. The research participants were ten enrolled students and 2 teachers. The fact that the Literacy in the Prison System is essential and even in the face of difficulties, it has sought to act effectively and focused on a critical-citizen education of those who did not have the opportunity to study at the right age to gain their autonomy, regain self-esteem and dignity.
