Abstract: The field of Workers' Health (WH) in Brazil is the result of an accumulated heritage in the field of Collective Health, with roots in the Latin American Social Medicine movement, reflecting changes in contemporary social dynamics. The aim of this paper is to discuss policies for Workers' Health, highlighting the innovations and challenges in this field. This is an integrative literature review. The databases used were Pubmed, Scielo and BVS, and included works published in Portuguese in the last five years that addressed the innovations and weaknesses of Workers' Health. 4 articles available in full were included in the scope of this research. The results showed the evolution and current configuration of Occupational Medicine in Brazil, addressing its policies and the structure established in the Unified Health System (SUS), the complex challenges that persist in the 21st century, such as labor informality, the disarticulation of actions, gaps in professional training and the growing prevalence of work-related mental disorders. The conclusion is that there is an imperative need to align public policies, seeking improvements that involve greater qualification, strategic use of technologies, strengthening intersectorality and promoting health prevention, with a view to ensuring the integrality of occupational health.
