DESAFIOS E BENEFÍCIOS DA IMPLANTAÇÃO DE UM PROGRAMA MESTRE DE PRODUÇÃO: UM RELATO A PARTIR DO ESTUDO DE CASO DE DUAS EMPRESAS INDUSTRIAIS
O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar um relato de desafios e benefícios
da implantação de um Programa Mestre de Produção (MPS – Master Production
Scheduling) em empresas industriais. O MPS é uma saída fundamental do processo
de Planejamento e Controle da Produção (PCP) e tem o propósito de orientar a
execução das decisões de PCP sobre o que, quanto e quando produzir no chão de
fábrica, promovendo também a conciliação entre demanda e capacidade. A fim de
atingir o objetivo proposto, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre os temas
de interesse e o estudo de caso da implantação do MPS em duas empresas
industriais do interior do estado de São Paulo. Como principais resultados
observou-se a necessidade de obtenção e melhoria de dados do Sistema Integrado
de Gestão das empresas estudadas, a necessidade de sistematização de
procedimentos nos setores que dão suporte ao PCP para a elaboração do MPS,
assim como a superação de resistências a mudança por parte de setores e
pessoas que auxiliam a consecução do MPS.

Abstract:
The aim of this paper is to present an account of the challenges and
benefits of implementing a Master Production Scheduling (MPS) in industrial
companies. The MPS is a key output of the process of Planning and Controlling of
Production (PCP) and is intended to guide the PCP decisions about what, how much
and when to produce on the shop floor, also promoting conciliation between
demand and capacity. In order to achieve this goal was done a literature review on
topics of interest and a case of study of implementing the MPS in two industrial
companies in the state of São Paulo. The main results observed were the need to
obtain and improvement of the Integrated Data Management of the companies
studied, the need for systematic procedures in sectors that support the PCP for the
preparation of MPS as well as overcoming resistance to change by sectors and
people that support the achievement of MPS.
